Well. It finally happened. Umbra's clutch gave up.

I'd passed the airport not long before. It started acting wrong when I slowed down, so I pulled over, and that's when the smell started. I filmed this on the side of the road.

I'm pretty sure it's the clutch from how it acted, but I won't call it until I see inside. Teardown once she's back at the house.

And my mirror broke too. The glass is broken, so I've pulled it off for now. Another part to replace.

It stings. But I did get a good couple of months out of her after all the work. Realistically she's off the road for at least another week, probably longer depending on what I find.

Riding home in the truck

The R1100RT couldn't be ridden. I got her loaded into the truck around 7:46 that evening and towed her back to the garage.

Not how I wanted that ride to end. Next step is finding out exactly what failed.
